Well, I got lunch with an old friend from Kentucky I haven’t seen in a while, then I did a tv interview and found someone’s lost phone, which I gave to the MBTA employee. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve gotta go to Cape Cod and play sousaphone at a bakery. This makes no sense.

Visited home, jury duty, job search, heat wave that totally zaps my energy to do anything. And my summer of unemployed freedom looks like it’s coming to an ends earlier than I expected, and with few tangible (though many intangible) benefits to show for it.
In less pensive news, They Might Be Giants’ new album came out yesterday, it rocks, and my roommates and I scored wristbands for the free show tomorrow night! Yessss!
While Americans love coffee, apparently we can’t handle the five coffee breaks a day in Germany (every meal, plus in between). I think I’m the only one who’s figured out that you can drink less coffee than offered… Jittery Americans…
